The Problem We Couldn't Ignore
The Inland Empire — like many regions across the United States — faces a profound shortage of mental health resources. With only 35 primary care providers per 100,000 residents, and more than 500,000 people in the region affected by mental health conditions, the gap between need and access is staggering.
Our founders saw firsthand how families struggled: long wait times, confusing insurance requirements, language barriers, and the simple fear of not knowing where to start. Something had to change.
Why We Built MindConnect
MindConnect was created to solve a coordination problem. The resources often exist — the free clinics, the psychiatrists accepting new patients, the pharmacies with assistance programs. What's missing is the connective tissue that helps people find and access them.
We step into that role. We map the landscape of available care, build relationships with providers who share our values, and guide individuals through the process from first contact to ongoing support. To date, we've helped improve the care of over 200 patients.
What Makes Us Different
Unlike traditional healthcare navigators, MindConnect provides ongoing peer support, not just referrals. We stay with you. We check in. We adapt to your changing needs. And we do it in both English and Spanish.
